19th July 2009: The Circle provides HQ for Tramlines Festival
The Circle recently saw themselves as the official headquarters for the Sheffield City Music festival. Organisers of the successful ‘Tramlines’ festival contacted The Circle just days before the events began, to see if they could use the building as a base for the event organisers throughout the weekend. Following a quick visit, organisers were bowled over by the facilities available and the venue quickly became a hub of activity, being used as the press centre for visiting media and for carrying out interviews, as well as welcoming bands and VIP guests.
Co-organiser, James O’Hara says, “The Circle became Tramlines HQ for the whole weekend, and the facilities, location and helpfulness of the staff really did contribute to the success of the whole event. The Circle is a superb venue in the centre of Sheffield and we will most definitely be using it again in the future".
Sarah Coleman, Facilities and Buildings Manager at The Circle, says, “We are thrilled to have been able to support such a great event for our city. It was only a matter of days between taking the initial enquiry to the festival taking place, but we managed to make all the necessary arrangements and everything went smoothly. We look forward to working with James and his team again on future events.”
