Painters of Yartspace Exhibition

A new exhibition has made its way to The Circle.

Come join us to view the amazing artwork from Yorkshire Artspace Studios, also known as “Yartspace” between the 6th May until the 2nd of June.

Painters of Yartspace, is a showcase of our vibrant creative community past and present who explore the medium of paint.
Painting is not just a medium or a process but a form of expression through painterly means. Thirteen painters from Yorkshire Artspace, Exchange Place Studios and Persistence works will exhibit together for the first time.

Artists included are Eleri Bates, John Brokenshire, Phil Cole, Paul Dearden, Michelle Dickens, Tim Rose, Rezwana Sarker, Richard Johnson, Frances Lewis, Keith Nichols, Sally Weston, Myfanwy Williams, John Wilsher.

The solidarity that runs between the group is the place we connect to our creativity and dedicate time to the pursuit of painting: the art studio. There is no theme to the exhibition. It is inclusive of all painting techniques and styles of work. The painters themselves are from different backgrounds and the path that lead us individually to the arts and painting differs, making an exhibition that celebrates the diversity that exists in a creative community and a studio environment.
