“People with a learning disability want to be seen, heard and valued”
This week is Learning Disability Week. Learning Disability Week is led by Mencap and the theme for 2026 is “do you see me?” This year the focus is on ensuring people with learning disabilities are truly heard, seen an values in all aspects of life.
There are many local organisations who offer support and inclusive activities surrounding people with learning disabilities including: Disability Sheffield, Sheffield Voices and Autism Plus.
