27th May 2011: Art exhibition launch at The Circle, in partnership with Cupola - 9 June
We are delighted to announce that The Circle and Cupola Gallery will launch a new display of artworks here at The Circle. The exhibition will be formally opened by local artist, David Lucas.
The launch will take place on Thursday 9 June, from 6.00-8.00. Join us for drinks, nibbles and a chat, as well as the chance to get the first look at this exciting new exhibition, and meet the artist. There's no need to book - just join us at your convenience.
About the artist: David Lucas has exhibited internationally over the last 21 years, taking part in several hundred exhibitions including fifteen solo shows. A regular exhibitor with Cupola Gallery since 1996, Lucas's oils on canvas are primarily concerned with depicting evocative images using intense colour, gestural mark making and the painterly abstraction of landscape. David is based in Sheffield.
