11th January 2010: Film Screening at The Circle

The University of Sheffield will launch a new project at The Circle on Friday evening (15 January) with a free film screening.

The New Dynamics of Ageing Project entitled Look at Me! is about harnessing the power of the creative arts to challenge media representations of older women.  A free screening of a documentary film, 'Still Doing It', will be shown on Friday evening at 7.00pm and tries to reverse the widespread stereotypes about growing older and to inspire all women to “keep doing it” – “it” being whatever turns them on.  The film shows the lives of nine women who tell us with startling honesty and humour how they feel about sex and love in later life. 

This event is free and open to women only.  Come along to this eye-opening event and chat with other guests - wine and nibbles provided.
